Nelvana Enterprises' and D-Rights' "Beyblade: Metal Fusion" is set to make its U.S. premiere June 26 on Cartoon Network.

The series is a revamp to the boys' original Beyblade property from early 2000. The property is based on the Japanese manga of the same name. The new series, containing 51 episodes, is a mix of 2-D and CGI animation. "Beyblade: Metal Fusion" debuts May 16 in Canada.

Hasbro will launch a new toy line this spring in Canada and this fall in the U.S. The range will include an innovative metal gear system and an online virtual battle component. The toy company holds the master toy rights for most international markets outside of Asia. Tomy holds the rights in the Middle East and Asia.

Nelvana Enterprises is distributing the series internationally, as well as representing D-Rights in various countries as licensing agent.
