American Greetings Relaunches '80s Madballs

Disgustingly fun '80s toy Madballs, an American Greetings property, is back with new product lines, a Web site and more.

A new line of gross-out rubber balls with names like "Fist Face" and "Snake Bait" is aimed at boys ages 4-8. The Classic and Sick Series 2 and 3 are expected to be available this fall and throughout spring 2009.

Madballs are currently available at Walmart, Toys ”‘R” Us, Walgreens, KB Toys, Bed Bath and Beyond, Meijers, Safeway, Hastings and Hot Topic.

The new online destination—www.Madballs.com—features free games, downloads, a Madballs shop and more based on the toy that debuted in 1986. Other deals include American Greetings for greeting cards, stickers, and gift wrap; as well as T-shirts by Fortune Fashions for mass and mid-tier and Mighty Fine for the specialty channel.
