Wines That Rock has announced its next collection of ‘Star Trek’ wines under license from ViacomCBS Consumer Products.
Star Trek Wines second release features a 2018 Klingon Bloodwine Cabernet Sauvignon and a United Federation of Planets Special Reserve 2019 Sauvignon Blanc. Both wines are available exclusively at StarTrekWines.com.
Made in conjunction with the ViacomCBS Consumer Products team, Wines That Rock partnered with the leaders of the Klingon Assault Group and the Klingon Language Institute to develop the 2018 Klingon Bloodwine Cabernet Sauvignon. As a special easter egg for fans, Bloodwine bottles also feature four separate, unique corks that were produced with Klingon proverbs.
Premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were used to create the traditional Bloodwine, cultivated to produce strong flavors, a vibrant ruby color in the glass and aromas of dark chocolate. Each bottle is hand filled and wax dipped at E2 Family Winery. Pre-sale of the Klingon Wines have begun with a ship date of Sept.17, The Klingon Day of Honor.
The United Federation of Planets Special Reserve Sauvignon Blanc includes individually numbered limited-edition bottles. Designed as a companion to the United Federation of Planets Old Vine Zinfandel, its futuristic round shape and unique label cut were inspired by the StarFleet Delta and the official issue uniforms of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”
“’Star Trek’ Wines is one of our all-time favorite projects,” says Howard Jackowitz, president, Wines That Rock. “The collaboration between ‘Star Trek’ experts from ViacomCBS Consumer Products team, our award-winning winemakers and designers, as well as several of the world’s leading ‘Star Trek’ and Klingon experts have produced two new additions to the Official ‘Star Trek’ Wines Collection that our entire company are proud of. Our goal is always to create great tasting, limited-edition, collectible wines that we as fans want to own and enjoy. As Klingon Warriors would say - Qapla!”
The latest bottles continue Wines that Rocks “Star Trek” line which debuted last year and also includes a red blend, the Chateau Picard Cru Bourgeois.
