EUROPE–Perfetti Van Melle and London-based fashion label Fyodor Golan have debuted an all-new collaboration showcasing the Chupa Chups lollipop brand at London Fashion Week.
CPLG, Chupa Chups’ licensing agent in the U.K., brokered the deal.
The new capsule collection will highlight the strawberry-flavored Chupa Chups on an assortment of womenswear and accessories including dresses, denim pants and tops. The collaboration will also showcase the classic Chupa Chups logo through detailed embroidery and gold and silver casting.
“Design has always been a key asset to Chupa Chups, so we felt very privileged to have Fyodor Golan’s creative minds propose an empowered and exquisite version of our brand elements in this fashion collection,” says Christine Cool, area licensing manager, Perfetti Van Melle. “It is fascinating to see how they have made an artistic conception by fusing the brand icons with surprising materials and disrupting shapes.”
The new Chupa Chups fashion collection will be showcased at Fyodor Golan’s Paris showrooms before launching at select department stores and boutiques worldwide in February 2018.
“We are delighted to be working with Fyodor Golan,” says Victoria Whellans, senior business development manager, brands, CPLG. “They are highly-regarded designers whose use of color, bold patterns and intricate cuts sits perfectly with the Chupa Chups brand. They’ve cleverly transformed an everyday object into a luxurious collection, which is sure to create much excitement when it launches at retail next year.”
