What’s Happening at Brand Licensing Europe

Brand Licensing Europe is the first in-person licensing trade show in more than a year. Here’s what you can expect at the biggest licensing event of 2021.

Keynotes

Enjoy insightful live keynotes on the first two days of BLE. On Day 1, Team GB will host a panel session featuring British Olympic gold medalists BMX Freestyler Charlotte Worthington, who’ll appear in-person next to Tim Ellerton and Will Stewart, all joined by Tom Daley who will appear by video link. On Day 2, ViacomCBS Consumer Products will discuss insights from their diversity and inclusion esports with a focus on their recent toy research.

Watch the finalists of the Kelvyn Gardner License This! Competition battle it out in the live finale, taking place at BLE on Friday, Nov. 19 in the Retail Trends Lounge. This year’s competition will include three categories: Character & Animation, Brand & Design for unlicensed brands and the new Product Design category.

Licensing U

Licensing U is an educational program bringing everything there is to know about the $292 billion licensing industry, offered for the first time at BLE and produced by Licensing International. Passes start at just £145 and can be

purchased when registering for BLE. All content will be available from Nov. 22 and remain on-demand for three months.

One-on-One Meetings

Take advantage of the free Meeting Service to plan meetings ahead of time with the more than 170 exhibitors showcasing their brands at BLE. Big names include Aardman, Hasbro, ViacomCBS, Chupa Chups, CAA-GBG and many more.

In-Person Fun

The much-loved character parade will see more than 60 favorites walk through the show at 11:30 a.m. on Days 1 and 2 of BLE. In addition, bring an old item of branded clothing to the event, donate to industry charity The Light Fund and swap it for another piece of apparel in this year’s branded clothing swap. Join the industry in paying tribute to industry veteran Kelvyn Gardner on Day 2 of BLE – wear your most colorful clothing in honor of his vibrant jackets.
