TeamTO has announced a series of new deals for its martial arts action-comedy series “Jade Armor,” including a Season 2, sale to China and the start of its long-term licensing and video game plans.

For Season 2 of “Jade Armor,” TeamTO has partnered with France Télévisions (France) and SUPER RTL (Germany). In China, Youku acquired Mandarin and English VOD rights (including IPTV/OTT) for Season 1.

“With a Season 2 we are very excited about diving deeper into the characters’ story arcs and personal journeys, which make them so endearing,” says Corinne Kouper, executive producer, TeamTO. “‘Jade Armor’ is a series, which, as well as being spectacular and funny, focuses on what it’s like to be a teenager today.”

The production of a second season and success of the first has triggered plans for licensing, with discussions on publishing, toys and videogames already under way.

“We have been in talks about a video game for consoles and PC with Plug In Digital, our partner on the many successful Angelo Rules’ games; development of the game should begin very soon,” says Patricia de Wilde, director of marketing and new business, TeamTO. “We have also initiated discussions with toy manufacturers and publishers together with licensing partners in Germany and France. We have a style guide with beautiful designs for ‘Jade’s Armor and the Beasticons,’ ideal for games, toys, costumes, plush, publishing, stationery and promotions. The aim is to have the first product ranges in stores by the end of 2025.”
