New film provides fodder for new console and mobile offerings.

Activision Publishing has released two new gaming products featuring The Peanuts Movie, which is debuting in theaters around the world over the next month.

The new console game "The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure," which is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo’s Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, is inspired by the classic comic strip. The side-scrolling exploration platformer  draws from the animation style of The Peanuts Movie from 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios, which arrived in theaters in the U.S. last weekend and will debut in the U.K. Dec. 21.

Additionally, Activision has also launched "Peanuts: Snoopy’s Town Tale," a free-to-play mobile game for select iOS devices, available now via the Apple App Store. Players can join Snoopy and other Peanuts characters to build, explore and go on quests through the iconic locations from the comic strip. The mobile game will also be available in December for select Android devices through Google Play and Kindle Fire via the Amazon Appstore.
