Aquarium will open a permanent, multi-sensory polar experience March 25.

The Sea Life London Aquarium has partnered with BBC Earth to use its natural history series “Frozen Planet” in a new permanent attraction–"Frozen Planet: Face to Face."

Guests to the aquarium will now be able to follow in the footsteps of the BBC’s film crews as the exhibit uses the latest entertainment technology to take visitors through polar landscapes in a re-voiced, interactive walk-through experience.

The "Frozen Planet: Face to Face" exhibit will also use scent, sound and visual effects to immerse visitors in the frozen world of the expedition. Each stage of the journey will reveal something new such as cold air, icicles falling to the seabed, a display of the Northern Lights and more. Visitors will also be brought face to face with polar bears, seals, orcas and other arctic-based animals.

The "Frozen Planet: Face to Face" exhibit will open March 25 and will become a permanent addition to the aquarium.

“We want to create an unforgettable 'Frozen Planet' experience for our visitors,” says Toby Forer, general manager, Sea Life London Aquarium. “BBC Earth’s spectacular film footage has been brought to life using advanced technology to create a unique multi-sensory experience that will bring families closer to our planets magical polar ice worlds than they ever would have through possible.”
