Invisible Universe, an internet-first animation studio referred to as the “Pixar of the internet,” has announced it has appointed Segal Licensing as its licensing agent in the U.S. and Canada. The appointment comes as the studio continues to experience demand for its social media-based animated franchises, including “Qai Qai,” inspired by Serena Williams’ daughter’s doll; “Clydeo,” based on Jennifer Aniston’s dog; “Squeaky & Roy,” the long-lost toys of Dixie and Charlie D’Amelio; “Ember,” the daughter of the underworld and “Lovie,” a preschooler who quite literally wears her heart on her sleeve. Segal Licensing will be tasked with partnering with the studio to broker deals that bring more points of engagement to fans of the franchises.

“Invisible Universe is at the forefront of how consumers are discovering new animated franchises, and we want to bring this same innovation to the world of consumer products,” says Shane Mang, head, licensing, Invisible Universe. “By partnering with the stellar team at Segal Licensing, a leading consumer products agency known for developing creative partnerships and licensing programs, we know we will be able to bring unique and exciting lines to fans that let them engage with their favorite characters well beyond the screen.”

Segal Licensing will set up partnerships across a broad range of categories, including toys, apparel, accessories, home, outdoor, consumer packaged goods, electronics and more. The Segal team will also assist in securing partnerships with best-in-class manufacturers, expand Invisible Universe’s current retail relationships, and manage its growing roster of partners.

“Invisible Universe is truly on the cutting edge, creating next-generation animation franchises that have quickly developed a huge fandom,” says Stuart Pollock, president, Segal Licensing. “We see big potential in what they have created, and we look forward to collaborating with them on bringing their exceptional lineup of franchises deeper into categories where they already have a presence as well as brand-new ones.”
