DHX Media has acquired Los Angeles-based Wildbrain Entertainment for approximately $8 million, picking up such properties as Yo Gabba Gabba! and The Ricky Gervais Show.
The acquisition grants DHX 53 episodes of "Yo Gabba Gabba!," as well as its live tour. In addition, the company gains access to new U.S. broadcaster relationships and adds a marketing and licensing team.
Michael Polis will continue to lead Wildbrain Entertainment as president and will now additionally serve as executive vice president of branded entertainment and consumer products for DHX Media.
