Pop artist, Mister Luca T, has partnered with Sophie la girafe to create customized statues.

"Sophie la girafe was the first toy I bought for my three children,” says Mister Luca T. “I even teared up on this rubber giraffe. When I saw that Sophie la girafe had entered the Grevin Museum in Paris for her 60th birthday, I wanted to take on a new challenge and turn this world-famous giraffe into a real work of art. It was a rather crazy project to ‘dare’ to tackle this emblematic character. But my project seduced Deliso company (in charge of the licensing rights for the Sophie la girafe brand) which gave me its trust.”

"The Sophie la girafe statue at the Musée Grévin was such a hit with visitors that when I got the call from Mister Luca T it was a no-brainer,” says Maude-Sophie Guerret, licensing manager, Vulli. “At Deliso, we are delighted with this collaboration; we have always considered Sophie la girafe a work of art, now she really is."

"To make my Sophie la girafe sculptures, I obviously opted to make the original in several sizes but also in customized versions, which makes the famous giraffe even more popular,” says Mister Luca T.

Mister Luca T has created Sophie la giraffe sculptures in various sizes, including 18 cm and 40 cm, with versions of 1m70 and 2 meters coming soon.

All the sculptures are handmade, and each giraffe is placed on a resin base.

"This is the beginning of an incredible adventure for me and for the collectors who melt when they discover their childhood toy or their baby's toy," says Mister Luca T.

Champop Galerie, a Parisian art gallery located in the Marais, has been exhibiting the sculptures.
