Merida, Tiana and Rapunzel come to life in new photo series by Brian McCarty.
Disney has unveiled a new photo series by toy photographer Brian McCarty that reimagines iconic scenes from Brave, The Princess and the Frog and Tangled.
The selection of animated frames was brought to life in doll-size, exacting detail by a team of designers using toys, custom-created props, sets and lighting.
McCarty and his team used Disney Princess dolls from Hasbro (Rapunzel and Tiana) and the Disney Store (Merida and Flynn) and styled them to appear as they did on screen. The Tiana doll is wearing a dress that will be available exclusively at Walmart this fall.
“The Disney princess characters inspire children to consider new possibilities. The photography seeks to capture some of that imagined world, in between the movies and the play room, to inspire fans everywhere,” says McCarty. “I felt a tremendous responsibility in capturing these important moments in the characters’ stories. These moments, even in doll size, make a big impression and carry so much meaning for people all around the world.”
