NBCUniversal’s Peacock Achieves 10M Signups
NBCUniversal’s new streaming service launched earlier this month and has already garnered more than 10 million signups.

NBCUniversal officially launched its entry into the streaming content space with the debut of Peacock on July 15. Now, less than one month after its official launch, the service has reached more than 10 million signups.
The news of the subscription service’s success was revealed in Comcast’s second quarter earnings report. In April, the service had a limited launch, but the full launch this month included more than 13,000 hours of content available to its free and premium subscribers. Peacock offers three tiers for subscribers including:
an ad-supported free tier;
an ad-supported premium tier for $4.99/month; and
an ad-free version of the premium tier for $9.99/month.
NBCUniversal’s platform comes programmed with content from the company’s portfolio of entertainment companies and new partners. Content comes from studios and television stations, including the U.S.A. Network, Fox, Universal Pictures, Sky, Comcast, DreamWorks, Focus Features, Illumination and ViacomCBS.
TInterested consumers can watch Peacock on Apple devices, Google platforms, Microsoft’s Xbox One family of devices, VIZIO SmartCast TVs and LG Smart TVs. The service is also available as part of cable packages from Comcast and Cox.
