With experiential shopping becoming a hot trend among brick-and-mortar retail, department store Macy’s is joining the party with in-store exclusives for its customers.
In addition to a myriad of exclusive products, Macy’s is offering shoppers the ultimate holiday experience with unique experiences that each offer something different for shoppers.
Macy's Fragrance Bar allows customers to find their favorite scent through interactive screens. Shoppers can engage with them by picking up a fragrance bottle, scent stick, or simply touching them. Interactions showcase the selected fragrance, including scent notes, information about the perfumer and customer reviews.
To get customers more involved in the design and purchasing process, Macy’s also launched the new “Create Your Own” jewelry program. The program allows shoppers to work with Macy’s colleagues to choose gemstones, diamonds, metals, shapes, settings and more via in-store tablets.
Toy and trim pop-ups will be available in more than 500 Macy’s stores to show off the latest in toys and games. Shoppers looking for that perfect piece of furniture will also be able to see it in their home with an augmented reality app called “See Your Space IRL,” available in 140 stores nationwide.
At Macy’s 34th Street flagship, customers can shop the men’s store featuring new products, fashion-forward brands and a curated space highlighting trends called The Park. The newly unveiled 14,500 square foot main floor experience is a lifestyle hotspot for customers to be inspired and discover new brands and fashion. The curated space will be completely refreshed every eight to 12 weeks.
All of these experiences and more will be available at select Macy’s locations.
