The L’Oreal Groupe, French business school, HEC Paris, and Meta have launched an accelerator program to help startups in the metaverse.

Five startup companies will be selected for the six-month program building products for the metaverse, including 3D production, augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, avatar creation, portability in user experience, token economy and more.

The program will be hosted at Meta’s Station F in Paris. Formerly a railway depot, Station F is now a business incubator located in the 13th arrondissement and is widely regarded as the world’s biggest startup campus.

Applications for the accelerator program will be accepted until Nov 20. Startups do not have to be specified in or adjacent to the beauty industry. A panel of Meta, L’Oréal and HEC members, investors and entrepreneurs will make its selections in December. Participating startups will have access to mentorship, investors and industry experts in the program running January to June 2023.
