BBC Studios has announced a partnership with Budge Studios to launch the first “Bluey” mobile app game. “Bluey: Let’s Play” will be available at the Apple App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore beginning Aug. 15.
“Bluey: Let’s Play” is based on the Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning global TV show that follows Bluey, her Mum, Dad and her little sister, Bingo.
Bluey’s Heeler family home comes alive in this interactive app gaming experience, packed with things to see and do. Navigating through every room allows players to join in with making food, playing with toys, making music and more. Everything is interactive and responds to the player’s touch. Players can also engage in story-driven episodic gameplay with activities inspired by moments from the series, such as “Keey Uppy” and “Chatter Max."
“Bluey: Let’s Play” is free to download for access to locations such as the kitchen and backyard, as well as characters, Bingo and Bluey. Paid subscribers will be given access to more characters and locations, such as the Heeler living room, playroom and bathroom, with extra rooms launching later this year.
“I’m delighted that BBC Studios is partnering with Budge Studios on this exciting venture bringing Bluey and the Heeler family into our gaming portfolio, giving fans around the world the opportunity to enjoy this fun interactive app gaming experience,” says Stephen Davies, managing director, consumer products and licensing, BBC Studios.
“We’re very excited to be bringing the official ‘Bluey’ mobile app game to our audiences across the globe,” says Henrietta Hurford-Jones, commissioner, executive producer, “Bluey,” BBC Studios Kids & Family. “The whole family will love seeing the Bluey Heeler home come alive in this exciting interactive game while having the chance to explore the fun world of ‘Bluey.’”
“As huge fans of the show ourselves, we’re excited to bring ‘Bluey’ to life on mobile devices for the first time ever,” says Mike Elman, co-chief executive office, founder, Budge Studios. “We think kids and fans of the show will love the interactive gameplay and creating their own stories in the ‘Bluey’ universe.”
