Ultra Violet will be featured on curated Color of the Year 2018 product collection. 

GLOBAL—Pantone has unveiled its Color of the Year selection for 2018 – Pantone 18-3838, Ultra Violet. 

According to the self-described “leading authority on color”, the electric purple hue “pushes the boundaries of what inspires us to look upward and outward to the future,” and “evokes the inventive spirit and imaginative thinking that challenges the status quo.” 

“The Pantone Color of the Year selection is more than a comment on color trends; it is a reflection on a collective cultural moment. The selection of Ultra Violet speaks to our shared desire for deeper understanding in an increasingly complex landscape, and our eagerness to experiment to reach that level,” says the company’s announcement. 

To celebrate and inspire the creative community, Pantone and Adobe Stock have partnered on a curated Color of the Year 2018 collection. Additionally, the company released a limited edition Pantone Color of the Year 2018 Formula and Color Guides, enabling them to easily integrate Ultra Violet into their workflow. 

The color will be available for a variety of categories including home décor, fashion, graphic design and beauty.
