RTL Group has announced the appointment of Jennifer Mullin as the new chief executive officer at FremantleMedia, effective Sept. 1.

RTL Group has announced the appointment of Jennifer Mullin as the new chief executive officer at FremantleMedia, effective Sept. 1.
Mullin, who currently serves as chief executive officer of FremantleMedia North America (FMNA), will succeed Cécile Frot-Coutaz, who is leaving his post to join YouTube. Until Mullin’s successor is named, she remains chief executive officer of FMNA.

In her role as chief executive officer at FMNA, a position she has held since May 2017, Mullin was entirely responsible for FMNA’s overall management and business performance and led the production, development and business operations of scripted and unscripted programming, including “America’s Got Talent,” “American Idol” and “Family Feud.” Other roles include senior vice president of current programming at FMNA when she joined in 2005, executive vice president of current programing since 2012 and co-chief executive officer of FMNA in 2015.Prior to her career at FMNA, Mullin served as executive producer at Paramount, Telepictures and Universal.
