Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and KISS have announced that they will team up for a co-branded Family Guy/KISS product line, set to hit shelves this fall.
The Family Guy/KISS line is based on references to the band that have appeared on the show. Thus far, KISS has appeared on “The Family Guy” three times.
Fox Consumer Products and Live Nation Merchandise, KISS's licensing agent are now looking for partners for vinyl figures, bobble heads, apparel, plush, novelty, barware, social expressions and fine art. "With KISS merchandise, endorsements and co-branding heading to the billion dollar mark, we are focusing more and more on the upper tier, blue chip opportunities for prestige partnerships,” says Paul Stanley, lead singer, guitarist and co-founder, KISS. “Family Guy's track record and consistent success with its demographic makes this match up ideal."
The KISS partnership is only the most recent in string of deals for The Family Guy brand. Other new agreements include a partnership with Fetch…for Pets! for a range of pet toys, clothing, collars, leashes, bowls and tank backgrounds and accessories in 2013; the new “Family Guy Online” free-to-play game; and a new deal with Activision Publishing for the video game “Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse,” set to be released this fall.
