Sesame Workshop's Healthy Habits for Life initiative received a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, announced at the National Association for Family Child Care Conference.

The foundation will support Sesame Workshop in conducting a study, in both English and Spanish, to evaluate the effectiveness of the Healthy Habits for Life initiative in family child-care settings in undeserved communities.

Thirteen-thousand bilingual Sesame Street Healthy Habits for Life: Child Care Resource kits will be distributed through the NAFCC in Alabama, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio and Tennessee. The kit, produced in partnership with Nemours Health & Prevention Services and KidsHealth.org, includes a 100-page guide, The Get Healthy Now Show DVD and a children's activity book.
