Imagine Entertainment chairmen Brian Grazer and Ron Howard have announced the launch of Imagine Kids & Family, a new division of the company.

Imagine Kids & Family will develop and produce animated and live-action features, TV series, short-form content and more for a variety of platforms in the kids and family entertainment category.

Stephanie Sperber has been tapped to lead as president of Imagine Kids & Family. Sperber will also continue as chief executive officer of the company she founded, White Space Entertainment, which focuses on the creation of children’s content through consumer products and gaming.

White Space will continue to be a client of Imagine Entertainment and will support the company’s consumer products endeavors to help define the new Imagine Kids & Family content division. Sperber founded White Space Entertainment in 2015.

Before White Space, Sperber served as president of global consumer products, gaming, partnerships and product placement at Universal Pictures where she worked consumer product programs for Illumination Entertainment and helped to build the Despicable Me/Minions program.

“Our emphasis will be on great storytelling that appeals to global audiences and has the potential to grow into true franchises,” says Grazer. “Sperber is a rare executive that can see the merits of a project not only in its ability to entertain but also to resonate beyond the screen.”

Imagine Kids will work with both new and veteran creative voices in children's animation to develop new content for television and short form for the company's digital platforms.
