National Gallery to Frame its Presence Around the World
In an effort to expand its international presence, The National Gallery, London, has appointed Copyright Asia to serve as its licensing agent in Japan. The brand has also entered into a series of partnerships around the globe.
JELC, The National Gallery's global licensing agreement, brokered the deals.
New partners include Chilean wine producer Santa Rita once again to expand its wine offering in new markets including China; Hachette for dot-to-dot paintings in the U.S. and China; Alfilo Brands and Alibaba for licensed merchandise in China; and Scoop Designs for food gifting items at retailer Boots in the U.K.
“After months of work following our trip to Japan last July we are delighted to be working with Copyrights Asia and look forward to building a very successful program in Japan," says Judith Mather, director, buying and brand licensing, the National Gallery.
JELC will also explore new opportunities for the brand at Licensing Expo, which takes place May 22-24 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
