In the run up to the keenly anticipated international premiere of the brand-new, Nickelodeon-produced “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” this fall, sales of the original series are also proving ever popular.  

Among the latest deals are China’s Wasu Media & Network and BesTV Network TV Technology Development, which have signed seasons 1 to 7 of the original series, and Hungary’s RTL Klub, which has signed seasons 2 and 4. 

The fairy animation “Winx Club” is enjoying global success with sales in Asia for season 4, including KTH and Home Choice in Korea, Eastern Broadcasting Asia in Taiwan and Global TV in Indonesia.

In Europe, TF1 in France has signed a swath of new deals and relicenses of evergreens “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Dora the Explorer,” as well as “Penguins of Madagascar.”  

RTL Klub in Hungary has signed a Nick package that includes “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Dora the Explorer” and “Kung Fu Panda”;and RSI in Switzerland has signed new licenses for “Kung Fu Panda,” “Penguins of Madagascar” and “Fanboy and Chum Chum.”

In Scandanavia, 365 in Iceland has signed relicenses and additional new seasons for “Dora the Explorer” and “SpongeBob SquarePants”; and RUV Iceland has picked up “The Mighty B!,” “Fanboy and Chum Chum,” “Kung Fu Panda,” “Bubble Guppies” and “Team Umizoomi.”  

In Norway, NRK has signed a relicense of “Penguins of Madagascar,” while in Finland, MTV3 has signed “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Dora the Explorer,” “Penguins of Madagascar” and “Kung Fu Panda.”

In Latin America, TV Hondureña in Honduras has signed new episodes of “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Dora the Explorer” as part of a block deal; and Telenica in Nicaragua has closed year four of its branded block deal with new acquisitions of “Dora The Explorer” and “SpongeBob SquarePants,” plus “Team Umizoomi,” “Bubble Guppies” and “T.U.F.F Puppy.”

Costa Rica’s Teletica and Panama’s FETV have also signed for renewals and new seasons of “Dora The Explorer” and “SpongeBob SquarePants.”
