The Rolling Stones has announced a collaboration with its lifestyle brand, RS No.9 Carnaby, youth brand, MTV, and Paramount Consumer Products.

Celebrating the Rolling Stones and MTV’s influence on popular culture, the collection features both MTV and the Rolling Stones iconic logos coupled with well -known, standout slogans,  “I Want My MTV!” and the lyric, “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like it)” across a collection of apparel and a tote bag. The collaboration was brokered by Bravado

The “I Want My MTV!” slogan harks back to MTV’s launch in 1981, when an MTV music executive convinced lead vocalist of the Stones, Mick Jagger, to be featured in the brand’s launch campaign. Jagger agreed to shout into the camera “I Want My MTV!” for the commercial.

“MTV has been such an important part of our journey – helping us by sharing our music to the world,” says The Rolling Stones in a release. “We are very pleased to be able to continue to work with MTV and bring exclusive collaborative products to our fans.”

“We are thrilled to collaborate and create a collection of apparel that celebrates the band and MTV’s influence on the global music industry,” says David Boyne, managing director, Bravado.

“We look forward to offering fans this definitional collaboration that brings together one of the greatest brands in music, MTV, with one of the greatest rock bands of all time, the Rolling Stones,” says Pam Kaufman, president, chief executive officer, international markets, global consumer products and experiences, Paramount.
