FremantleMedia Enterprises has signed two new deals to produce local versions of “The X Factor” music competition in Egypt and Israel.

A Pan-Arab version will be aired on the free-to-air TV network CBC in Egypt, with the audition process beginning in November across the U.A.E., Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon and Kuwait. The series, fully sponsored by PepsiCo, will begin airing in the first half of 2013.

“The X Factor Israel” is also expected to launch in 2013 on Reshet’s free-to-air Channel 2.
