BBC Worldwide appointed The Joester Loria Group the U.S. licensing agent forpreschool property Little Robots. Cartoon Network U.S. recently acquired therights to 65 episodes of the property, which is produced by Create TV &Film, a part of the newly formed UK media and rights owner, Create MediaVentures. Over the next three years, The Joester Loria Group will manage therollout of products across a range of categories including apparel, home, toysand gifts, food, and partyware.

Alliance Atlantis Secures Latin America Deal
Alliance Atlantis secured a broadcast deal with Jetix in Latin America forDragon Booster. The children's CGI animated property will launch throughoutLatin America in fall 2005. This deal is in addition to agreements already inplace with broadcasters in the U.S., UK, Australia, and Canada. Other deals inplace include Jakks Pacific as worldwide master toy licensee, Konami for videogames, a publishing deal with Hyperion Books for Children, and an apparel dealwith Extreme Concepts.

MGM Studios Aligns with Media Services Concern
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. and Corbis inked a deal to leverage MGM'smovie moments. Corbis now will be able to license MGM's motion picture andstill image library for editorial and commercial use on a global basis. Inaddition, Corbis' advertising and editorial clients worldwide can licensemoments from films such as the Rocky series, The Pink Panther series, the JamesBond series, Legally Blonde, Fargo, and Silence of the Lambs, as well as MGM'sfilm library of more than 4,200 titles.

eFashion Solutions Takes Elvis to the Web
Elvis Presley Enterprises signed on eFashion Solutions, LLC, to manage theglobal Web retailing for officially licensed and trademarked products. eFashionSolutions, LLC, will be responsible for the worldwide Web marketing and Webretailing for Web, catalog, and fan club sales for all merchandise that bearsthe trademark, likeness, and image of Elvis. Over the next 18 months, thecompany plans to enhance the business by leveraging its international platform,including accepting foreign currency and providing faster, less expensiveshipping to fans from more than 120 countries.

Avirex Joins Forces with Kids Headquarters
Avirex, known for its aviation/military-inspired leather outerwear andsportswear, entered into a multi-year, multimillion dollar license agreementwith Kids Headquarters. A collection of sportswear and outerwear for boys willdebut this holiday season in the U.S. with girls to follow shortly after.

Two New Properties to Ring True with Mobile Users
Smartphones Technologies, Inc., signed a mobile content agreement with GStudios, LLC, to license Earth 2 Jane and Chosen Girls, two new lifestylebrands targeting teen and 'tween girls. Smartphones Technologies will enablewireless customers to download Earth 2 Jane wallpapers, ringtones, ringbacktones, animations, and video clips to their mobile phones. Smartphones willcreate licensed Earth 2 Jane and Chosen Girls mobile content and distribute itto interested wireless carriers and content providers worldwide.

Russ Berrie Signs Spirited New Deal
Russ Berrie and Company, Inc., will create The Good News Bears,Scripture-inspired gifts designed by artist Amy Wulfing and licensedexclusively by OTay! Inc. Wulfing's designs will be distributed through Russ'retail partners, as well as members of Christian Booksellers Association (CBA),which serves the Christian retail channel in more than 50 countries around theworld. First products will be in stores in October.

Avent Joins WBCP in VP Role
Warner Bros. Consumer Products named Lisa Avent vice president of worldwidemarketing. In her new position, Avent will handle all facets of marketingrelated to the Looney Tunes and DC Comics brands. Additionally, she willoversee the regional marketing responsibilities for Latin America andAsia/Pacific.
