Sony Preps for Mortal Instruments with App

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones,

which will be released Thursday, one week before the film hits theaters Aug. 21.

Players will take on the role of a Shadowhunter, a half-angel, half-human warrior, to defeat vampires, warlocks and other demons that threaten New York City. The game features locations, characters and abilities inspired by the film, which is adapted from Cassandra Clare’s series of young adult novels.
