Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will be showcasing new licensing opportunities for the upcoming video game “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” at Brand Licensing Europe this October.
This is the fourth installment in the "Uncharted" series, which is developed by Naughty Dog.
“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” will launch exclusively on PlayStation 4 on March 18, 2016, featuring new gameplay mechanics, larger, more open environments and enhanced graphics and animations. Also, for the first time in “Uncharted” history, players can drive vehicles during gameplay.
BLE will serve as a launch pad to showcase new licensing opportunities for the franchise across EMEA, Australia, New Zealand and India. Lead categories include apparel, accessories and collectibles targeting adult gaming fans.
“‘Uncharted 4’ presents a very exciting licensing opportunity,” says David Evans, European licensing manager, SCEE. “The dynamic gameplay, introduction of vehicles, cinematic storytelling, richly detailed and varied environments all combine to enhance the game’s licensing program. Add to that, the huge fan base and level of awareness for a gaming property of this caliber, and what you have is a compelling opportunity for both licensees and retailers, and we look forward to sharing details of the new game with partners at the show.”
