New partnership will raise funds for Imperial Health Charity to help hospital patients during the holidays.

EUROPE–This holiday season, the Smiley Company has created three limited edition icons to raise money for the Imperial Health Charity, which provides assistance to hospital patients facing financial difficulties this Christmas.

Smiley has created the three limited edition icons–including a Smiley winky, a laughing Santa Claus and a Christmas penguin–exclusively for Imperial Health Charity’s fundraising campaign, the Wishing Tree Appeal. The icons will be put on ornaments that will be hung on the charity’s Christmas Wishing Trees at Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea, St Mary’s and the Western Eye hospitals over the holiday period. For a £5 donation, participants can write a personal Christmas wish to be printed on the Smiley baubles.

All donations raised will go toward Imperial Health Charity’s hardship fund, which provides emergency grants for patients and their families at times of financial distress. The money can be used to cover food, travel, housing and more, so a family can stay together while a loved one is hospitalized.

“Our mission is that we help to make the world a happier place, which is the starting point for all of our creative projects globally,” says Matt Winton, marketing director, The Smiley Company. “We are proud to work with Imperial Health Charity for this incredibly worthwhile cause at such an important time of year. We are committed to helping spread happiness to those in need of smile at this time of year.”
