'Simpsons' Heads to 'LEGO Dimensions'

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has given a sneak peek of new levels in the upcoming "LEGO Dimensions" video game that will feature "The Simpsons."

Springfield to set the stage for one level of the upcoming video game.

The company also announced the addition of the "Midway Arcade" compilation of classic arcade games. "LEGO Dimensions," which will merge physical LEGO brick building and interactive console gameplay, will launch Sept. 29 for across Xbox, PlayStation and Wii consoles.

Both "The Simpsons" and "Midway Arcade" will be featured in levels in the "LEGO Dimensions" main game, available in the starter pack.

"The Simpsons" level will feature an art style that is true to the animated series and unique from the other levels within the game. Players will face an unlikely pair of evil masterminds–Lord Business and The Joker–who have joined Lord Vortech's legion of villains and invaded Springfield.

Additionally, a "The Simpsons" level pack will also be available with a LEGO Homer Simpson minifigure, as well as "The Simpsons" fun packs that include a LEGO

Bart Simpson and LEGO Krusty the Clown minifigures.

In the "Midway Arcade" level, Gandalf and Wyldstyle find themselves in a video game where they must race in "Super Sprint," smash their way through hordes of enemies in "Gauntlet," save astronauts in "Defender" and defeat robots in "Robotron." For retro gamer fans, there will also be a "Midway Arcade" Gamer level pack with a LEGO Retro Gamer minifigure and an entire level featuring more than 20 arcade games.
