Rovio Debuts New ‘Angry Birds’ Game

In anticipation of The Angry Birds Movie, Rovio has unveiled a new pinball-inspired version of the popular mobile game game franchise, called “Angry Birds Action!”

New mobile game is part of a digital program designed to tie in with the upcoming feature film.

The new game, developed by Tag Games, will see Red smash his way through obstacles and bounce from wall to wall while trying to save eggs from destruction. Players will also be able to unlock exclusive content by seeing

on opening weekend and by scanning BirdCodes on "Angry Birds" products at retailers.

than 1 billion BirdCodes have been printed around the world and can be found on products created by Rovio’s partners including the LEGO Group, H&M, McDonald’s, PEZ and more. When the BirdCodes are scanned with the new mobile game, they will unlock power-ups and multiple mini-games for players. The BirdCodes do not require a purchase to function.
