Outfit7, creators of the “Talking Tom and Friends” apps, has won a lawsuit against Chinese app company NanJing oooo3d, which published counterfeit sequel apps to the original Talking Tom franchise.

In one of the first lawsuits filed in U.S. courts against mobile app IP infringement, NanJing oooo3d has been permanently prohibited from manufacturing, distributing or promoting any counterfeit merchandise bearing the Talking Tom or Talking Friends trademark and has been ordered to pay compensation to Outfit7 for the loss of goodwill and value suffered to the brand.
