Neopets is embracing its roots and 2024 has been pivotal for the gaming brand, with daily active users reaching a new peak and monthly active users surpassing expectations, reflecting a 3X growth since the company has become a small independent studio and the highest in the past decade.

“2024 is the beginning of our transformative journey to revive Neopets,” says Dominic Law, chief executive officer, Neopets. “For the first time in a decade, we’re seeing meaningful growth in our player base, and the support from our fans has been greatly appreciated. We have been laying the groundwork for a much stronger Neopia – one that is reflective of what our players love about Neopets. There’s still a lot of work cut out for us and we’re very excited to have the tremendous support of our community."

Neopets collaborated with over 30 partners in 2024 to create experiences that connect its audiences both online and offline. These include licensees like Upper Deck, PhatMojo and Andrews McMeel.

Building on the momentum, Neopets has an exciting lineup of initiatives in 2025:

  • In May, It’s Boba Time is transforming 100 locations across the U.S. into Neopia, featuring Neopets themed décor and exclusive giveaways

  • The second graphic novel, “Neopets: The Discarded Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity,” will be released in August. Alongside the graphic novel series, a range of coloring and activity books are also in development

  • March will see the launch of Monopoly: Neopets 25th Anniversary limited edition, while Q2 will bring the release of the Upper Deck TCG: Battle for Meridell Expansion and new TCG accessories like playmats, card sleeves and deck boxes
