
King Digital Entertainment, maker of the game app and licensed brand Candy Crush, launched its IPO Wednesday at a price that values the company at close to $7.6 billion, according to Bloomberg
.
King is owned by Apax Partners and the venture capital firm Index Ventures.
The company, which filed on the New York Stock Exchange as KING, is selling its shares for $21 to $24 each and plans to use the funds for working capital and acquisitions.
