Microsoft Studios has given U.S. toymaker Jakks Pacific the rights to its video game property Halo for action figures and costumes.

Jakks will create large-scale Halo action figures for distribution worldwide, including figures based on the upcoming release “Halo 5: Guardians,” debuting this fall.

Additionally, Disguise, the Halloween costume division of Jakks, is developing a line of Halo-branded costumes and accessories for both children and adults for North America, Latin America and the U.K.

The Halo costumes will launch in time for the Halloween season, while the large-scale figures will hit shelves this fall.

“We are thrilled to add the iconic Halo franchise to our robust portfolio of licenses,” says Tara Hefter, vice president, licensing, Jakks Pacific. “We are eager to showcase the Halo property in our large-scale figures line, which features the best in blockbuster action entertainment licenses, and create exciting new ways for fans to experience Halo through innovative costumes that are authentic to the brand.”
