Imangi Studios, creators of “Temple Run” game app, have signed two new licensees for toys and a handheld LCD game.

Factory Entertainment has signed on to produce a line of plush toys based on the series’ cast of characters. Demon Monkeys and Temple Idols items will launch at retail this fall, with other characters like Guy Dangerous and Karma Lee to follow.

Basic Fun will create the first Temple Run handheld LCD game that will bring all the fun of the app to a portable device with a carabineer-style clip. The game will be available in spring 2015.

“Our work with Factory Entertainment and Basic Fun will connect Temple Run fans to the characters and stories they have interacted with for the last three years,” says Keith Shepherd, co-founder, Imangi Studios. “We’re looking forward to announcing more partnerships this year, so stay tuned.”

Since the launch of the original game in 2011, the Temple Run brand has expanded to include apparel from Freeze, sleepwear from Komar Kids, arcade games from Coastal Amusements and card posters from Trends International, among other licensing partnerships. Imangi has also collaborated twice with Disney to launch “Temple Run: Brave” and “Temple Run: Oz.”
