InOne’s Wildfire X branded phone will be a low-budget option sold exclusively from Indian retailer Flipkart. The deal comes after HTC stopped producing products in the Wildfire line nearly eight years ago. As part of the deal, HTC will unload all manufacturing and retail decisions of the company branded phone to InOne. HTC hopes the deal helps the company earn new brand value in India.

Besides focusing on the above aspects, we are also restructuring our market penetration plans along with InOne, our local licensing partner.”
HTC has struggled in recent years to find sustained success in the ever-evolving mobile phone market. The company reported a fifth straight quarter offinancial losses
in Q2. In recent months, the company has looked at licensing oppurtunities such as its deal with InOne to help fight off flagging sales figures.
