Hasbro and DeNA have launched an app version of their action card-battle game G.I. Joe: Battleground.

In the new app players collect and build G.I. Joe or COBRA teams from hundreds of unique digital cards designed in an art-style that pays homage to the classic animated series.

Players take their specialized Joe or COBRA squads on missions around the world and can also engage in special global events with and against other players.

“G.I. Joe: Battleground” is available now for iOS devices in the Apple App Store, with a version for Android devices coming soon.
