Halfbrick Studios has tapped Interactive Licensing Management to represent its mobile game “Fruit Ninja” for licensing.

Through the partnership, ILM will represent the mobile game phenomenon across multiple territories, including the Greater China region, and will aim to secure multiple consumer products deal based on the game as well as its upcoming animated series and live-action film.

“We are delighted to have concluded this arrangement with Halfbrick,” says David Colley, chief executive officer, ILM. “After the incredible success of ‘Fruit Ninja,’ the brand is about to go to a new level with the forthcoming release of the next ‘Fruit Ninja’ game, the animated YouTube Red Original Series ‘Fruit Ninja: Frenzy Force’ (launching May 5) and the recently announced live-action family film in development with New Line Cinema. We are excited about fans seeing ‘Fruit Ninja’ in new categories and look forward to providing them with some surprises along the way.”

The agreement also includes Halfbrick’s other mobile game “Jetpack Joyride.”

“We are very excited about ILM’s vision for the ‘Fruit Ninja’ and ‘Jetpack Joyride’ brands, especially throughout Greater China,” says Sam White, vice president, entertainment and licensing, Halfbrick Studios. “We are committed to supporting both ILM and our licensees in bringing fun, engaging consumer products to our ever-growing community of players, viewers and fans.”
