Horror-themed video game franchise expands into costumes, gifts and more.

Scottgames has signed five new licensees for its video game franchise “Five Night’s at Freddy’s,” in deals brokered by Striker Entertainment, Scottgames’ worldwide licensing agent.

The new licensees include:

  • Rubie’s Costume Company for character costumes, masks, costume accessories, prop replicas, animatronic figures, trick-or-treat bags, indoor and outdoor Halloween décor, pumpkin decorating kits and pet costumes.

  • NECA for a line of large-scale foam figures, animatronic figures, electronic cord accessories, gift sets, seasonal lighting, 3D figural wall art, role playing games, novelty metal lunch boxes, fleece blankets and character pillows.

  • Trends International for posters, calendars, bookmarks, writing instruments, stickers, decals, temporary tattoos, gift wrap and gift bags.

  • Buckle-Down for themed belts, belt buckles, key chains and other items featuring the company’s signature seat-belt-style fasteners.

  • McFarlane Toys for buildable play sets based on scenes and locations from the game.

“The early retail heat on this property is reminiscent of what we experienced with ‘Angry Birds’ at launch and what we have witnessed with ‘Minecraft,’” says Marc Mostman, partner, Striker Entertainment. “With its large fan base, billions of YouTube views, a feature film in development and the first of three books recently launched, ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ is one of those rare properties with the benefit of being driven by multiple media executions and deeply active fan engagement.”

The new licensees join existing partners Funko, Just Toys, Sanshee and Bioworld Merchandising.
