The Fédération Internationale de Football Association has extended its video game licensing agreement with Electronic Arts’ EA Sports division until 2022.

EA Sports will continue to have exclusive rights to FIFA-branded action and management video games, as well as the exclusive rights to release the official FIFA World Cup video game.

"EA Sports released the first FIFA-branded soccer game in 1993, and 20 years later our partnership with FIFA continues to be very strong," says Andrew Wilson, executive vice president and head of EA Sports. "Our franchise has become the benchmark for quality and innovation in the sports video game genre.”
