Children’s publisher Egmont U.K. has signed on as publishing partner for the video and mobile game “My Singing Monsters,” developed by Big Blue Bubble.

Beanstalk’s newly launched Tinderbox division, the exclusive licensing agency for the My Singing Monsters property, brokered the deal.

Egmont will extend the My Singing Monsters property into print and digital publishing to include magazines, handbooks, sticker books, sound books and digital apps such as e-books.

“We fell in love with ‘My Singing Monsters’ and its amazing art, animation and audio effects,” says Emma Cairns Smith, license acquisitions director, Egmont U.K. “The lush island imagery and the more than 30 monster species featured in the game offer an abundant style guide to utilize, as well as a variety of personalities to bring to life in books. We are excited to be My Singing Monster’s publishing partner.”

“It is games like ‘My Singing Monsters’ that are driving new levels of engagement with consumers,” says Dan Amos, head of new media, Tinderbox. “The brand’s unique look and gameplay truly makes it stand out, which explains its explosive popularity on mobile and PC. I am certain that Egmont will bring this imaginative world to life in ways fans new and old will enjoy.”
