Discovery Communications has launched a new standalone app “Real Scary Spiders,” in partnership with Animal Planet and game developer Fuzzy Frog.
The app lets users collect, nurture and raise spiders, and even bring their pet spider to life through augmented reality.
As users advance through the game, they will be able to bring their spiders to life by directing their device at trigger objects such as magazine covers, walls and the packaging of the Animal Planet Web Blasting Tarantula toy.
“Real Scary Spiders” is available now for iOS and Android devices at RealScarySpiders.com.
