Popular Atari games such as “Asteroids,” “Centipede” and “Breakout” have been given not just new names, but diner-specific game play elements such as flying hash browns and a syrup bottle shooter.

“[Denny’s is] constantly looking to provide a fresh take on tradition for our guests,” says Frances Allen, chief brand officer, Denny's. “This partnership with Atari allows us to extend the fun beyond our menu, and add a new spin on classic gameplay."

Three Denny’s-themed games are now available on the Denny’s mobile app. In “Hasterioids” players are aboard the S.S. Denny’s Condiment Transport ship to deliver 40 tons of condiments to the fourth planet in sector 7d. “Centipup” is about a young boy named Denny who comes across a syrup bottle and is given the power to turn anything into a fried egg. The goal in “Take-Out”

is to feed customers by breaking down a wall of breakfast items that are blocking all the take-out orders.

“We are excited to be partnering with Denny's on this partnership,” says Fred Chesnais, chief executive officer, Atari. “Transforming our classic and beloved games into a retro, remixed promotion will be a natural way to expose our brand to a new generation and resonate with our long-time fans in a fun and unique way.”
