Licensing agency will expand the “Life is Strange” video game franchise.

Square Enix has appointed CPLG to represent its video game series “Life is Strange” in Europe, the Middle East and North America.

The licensing agency will now oversee the licensing for all categories and will secure new local and regional territory licensees.

“‘Life is Strange’ has been a huge success for Square Enix, wining multiple awards and love from players on the way,” says Jon Brooke, vice president, brand and European marketing, Square Enix. “Our aim is to grow the brand for our fans and this partnership with CPLG is a large step toward doing exactly this.”

Furthermore, a new “Life is Strange” style guide will be available for licensees to develop fashion and trend products across various categories. It will feature episodic key art and quotes, as well as distinctive t-shirt and tattoo designs donned by the characters in the game.

“‘Life is Strange’ is a unique and highly licensable property,” says Steve Manners, executive vice president, CPLG. “The compelling visual style translates to relevant, fashion oriented product, giving fans of the game a unique opportunity to immerse themselves further in the award winning game. We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Square Enix.”

Square Enix is the entertainment company behind the “Final Fantasy” and “Tomb Raider” franchises. The company has previously partnered with CPLG on its classic title “Space Invaders.”
