NORTH AMERICA–BuzzFeed and Walmart have teamed up to integrate the retailer’s e-commerce operations–Walmart.com and Jet.com–into BuzzFeed’s “Tasty” app.

Beginning this week, when consumers open the “Tasty” to view recipe videos they will also be offered direct links to the kitchen tools, bakeware and appliances they will need to create a dish–including slow cookers, nonstick pans, measuring cups and more.

“By introducing the ability to shop for products directly from the ‘Tasty’ app, this partnership combines content and commerce to create a convenient and fun experience for users,” says Sumaiya Balbale, vice president, e-commerce, mobile and digital marketing, Walmart.

Furthermore, both companies are planning to integrate groceries as well as services like Walmart’s online grocery pickup into the app beginning next year.
