Bandai Namco Games Europe has launched the "Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle" video game for Nintendo 3DS in Europe, the Middle East and Australasia.

In the 2D-robot combat game, fighters can step into the role of one of the four Tenkai Knights heroes to stop the evil Vilius and his army of shape-shifting robots from destroying planet Earth and Quarton.

“After successfully adapting famous anime and manga licenses to video games, we are proud to take a brand-new challenge with Tenkai Knights," says Herve Hoerdt, vice president of IP strategy, Bandai Namco Games Europe. "Kids will be delighted to discover the adventures of the young Tenkai Knights and help them save planet Earth and Quarton.”

The game features a number of unique game play mechanics including the Robofusion mode, a higher level of shape shifting that occurs only when users combine powers with another player. The game also features more than 100 customization parts and the ability to cooperate with an ally to complete missions, as well as Versus mode where up to four players can also compete against each other.

The Tenkai Knights are also featured in a toy line from Spin Master and an animated TV series from Viz Media Europe.
