Apple released its compilation of the top apps of 2013 Tuesday, with many games that feature attached licensing programs making the list including “Candy Crush Saga,” “Minecraft,” “Temple Run 2” and “Plants vs. Zombies 2.”

The Game of the Year award went to “Ridiculous Fishing–A Tale of Redemption” with “Device 6” and “Plants vs. Zombies 2” named as runners-up.

“Minecraft–Pocket Edition” was the top paid app of the year, with several other licensed apps ranking in the top 10 including “Temple Run: Oz,” “Angry Birds Star Wars” and “Plants vs. Zombies.”

“Candy Crush Saga” was both the No. 1 free app of the year and the top grossing app of 2013. Other licensed top grossing apps included “Marvel War of Heroes,” “The Simpsons: Tapped Out,” “The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth” and “Minecraft–Pocket Edition.”
