The newly re-launched comic book company Valiant Entertainment has announced a three-year agreement with collectible company Rittenhouse Archives for trading card series and collector’s albums featuring the Valiant Universe.

The new cards and albums, set to launch in the U.S. and Canada in 2013, will showcase comic book characters such as X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Eternal Warrior, Shadowman and Harbinger.

"All of us at Rittenhouse are extremely excited to add Valiant Comics to our distinguished list of evergreen properties," says Steve Charendoff, president, Rittenhouse. "Valiant has rapidly returned to its rightful place among the top publishers of comics today, and, in a world that increasingly craves quality superhero stories and characters in all forms of media, its future prospects couldn't be brighter."

In 2012, Valiant re-launched its print and digital comic book business. The company owns a library of 1,500 characters that have been featured in 80 million comic books, a number of video game franchises. A slate of major motion pictures are currently in development.
