The weeklong event will aim to maximize licensing professionals’ time in Las Vegas with a raft of educational and networking events, business opportunities and more.
UBM’s Global Licensing Group has unveiled additional plans for Licensing Week, taking place May 22-25, in conjunction with Licensing Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
The weeklong program has been expanded to include new and returning educational and networking events surrounding the annual show. New offerings include a full slate of business-building opportunities for attendees and exhibitors, which are designed to enable licensing professionals to take full advantage of their time in Las Vegas.
New additions this year include industry events, networking opportunities, exclusive parties and invitation-only Entertainment Showcases.
First, the invitation-only Entertainment Showcases will debut on the first day of Licensing Week, May 22 at 9 a.m., and will provide participating companies with the opportunity to feature upcoming projects and properties. Companies hosting private Showcases during the week include Cartoon Network Enterprises, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media, Hasbro Consumer Products, Mattel, Nickelodeon, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, NBCUniversal Brand Development and Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
Meanwhile, Licensing Expo, which is sponsored by the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association, will remain the centerpiece of the week, taking place May 23-25. The show floor will host more than 5,000 brands from all categories and countries.
New exhibitors for the 2017 show include Scott Living/The Scott Brothers, Dezign Your Mind and Amazon Studios, among others. Returning exhibitors also include Authentic Brands Group, CBS Consumer Products, Edge Americas Sports, J!nx and more.
